With the state’s supply of firefighters being strung throughout the state battling a number of fires, over one thousand soldiers from Fort Carson are being trained in fighting fires.  The National Interagency Fire center has coordinated wildfire fighting efforts and is enlisting and training soldiers to fight fires. The center says some soldiers have completed the course already and others will finish training tomorrow.
