Although firefighters are getting a break from the weather they’re still battling fires.  Right now crews are battling a new blaze outside DeBeque that has now grown to 150 acres.  Lightning has caused this fire just like the Pine Ridge Fire.  This one is being called The Third Water Springs Fire and was reported yesterday afternoon.  It is situated up on Kimball Mountain about 25 miles northwest of DeBeque.  The tough thing about this blaze is its location which is in severe rugged terrain.  Currently seven engines, a water tanker, five ground crews, airplanes and two helicopters are being use to battle this blaze.
