Colorado Dept. of Transportation will need to close US 550 Red Mountain Pass for at least two night so they can complete drainage pipe work.  This drainage work is part of the project to repair two retaining walls under the southbound lane about 1 ½ miles north of the snow shed.  The project should be completed by Sept. 25^th.  Meanwhile CDOT is expected close Red Mountain  on July 12^th and 17^th from 8pm to 6am.  These are the only two dates they expect to close the pass over night.  Once the work is completed they will decide if any further closures are needed.
