Due to a deep sink hole on Hwy 24 outside Leadville organizers of the USA Pro Challege Bicycle Race may have to alter their route.  Right now that part of the road is closed to all traffic and CDOT is working on how to repair this 20 ft. wide, 100 ft deep hole.  Race officials are hoping that crews will be able to repair the road in time and avoid a detour.  The original route of the race is expected to go through that road.  USA Pro Challenge will start Aug. 20^th that’s just a little more than a month away and organizers are keeping their fingers crossed they don’t have to make any changes.
