TV evangelist Pat Robertson had his picture taken off a Grand Junction billboard after he heard that the advertisement was for an endorsement of Amendment 64. This ballot measure calls for regulating marijuana just like alcohol and the billboard was sponsored by the supporters of that amendment. A spokesperson for Pat Robertson said that Robertson never endorsed Amendment 64. Some supporters felt that when Robertson expressed on his tv show that criminalizing marijuana has led to overcrowding in jails. Some took that to mean he supported the use of marijuana but in fact according to his spokesman he was just referring to helping young people stay out of jail.
