The Colorado State Patrol is ramping up their efforts to ticket people who are not wearing a seatbelt. Troopers will be out at night in the coming weeks to enforce seatbelt laws. According to the state patrol, last year nearly one hundred forty people were killed in nighttime traffic incidents because they were not wearing seatbelts. The ramped up enforcement doesn’t just include seatbelts. We are still in the middle of the State Patrol’s one hundred days of heat, a period of heightened DUI enforcement over the summer.
