While school districts everywhere try to trim their budgets each year, Mesa School District 51 has come upon another obstacle, vandalism.  During this summer a series of vandalism events on the schools have seen the cost really pile up.  One of the more recent attacks was at Pear Park Elementary where vandals broke in and damaged property inside the school.  The district is getting together with authorities to see how they can prevent further damage.  Officials are asking people to keep a vigil and report any suspicious activity to authorities.
