Some more information has been released about the suspected gunman in last week’s theater shooting in Aurora. Businesses across the state are selling record numbers of guns, and concealed carry permit classes are overfull. The Colorado Bureau of Investigation received nearly 3,000 background check requests over the weekend after the shooting, nearly 50% more than the previous weekend. Authorities are also saying that the suspect had sent a journal detailing the attack to a psychiatrist and professor at the CU Medical School a week prior to the attacks, but it was held up in the mailroom. The suspect will be appearing in court on Monday for a formal filing of charges against him.
