It has been decided to further save the school’s budget some students in District 51 neighborhoods in Grand Junction will not be able use the school bus system and will have to walk or find other means of transportation.  The district’s safety coordinator, Tim Leon, said that the district is finalizing this school year’s bus routes and starting today families will be able to find out who will be effected.  They can visit the district’s website, www.d51schools.org and scroll to the parents tab and click on the bus/transportation info and find out more.  By reducing the bus routes the school district is hoping to cut $5.7 million in increased costs.
