At this morning’s Mon. County Commissioner’s meeting after a long discussion it was finally decided that the County would draft up a letter of intent to support the City with the Whitewater Park Project along with $50 thousand to come from the 2013 budget provided Greater Colorado Outdoors approves the application.  A couple of county residents came forward and expressed their concerns about the project and wondered if they would directly benefit from this project and also will the city file for additional water rights to operated this park.  Dennis Erickson with the Rec. Dist. Assured them the city would not infringe on farmers waters.  The motion to draft the letter was approved by a 2-1 vote with Comm. Henderson expressing his concern of getting more details before making the commitment.
