Bike fever has caught on here in Montrose as many residents brace themselves for the U.S. Pro Cycle Challenge next week.  Downtown Bike Week will kick things off Thurs day during Main In Motion with a bike-themed street festival with costume parade.  On Mon. Aug 20^th many bike aficionados will have an opportunity to ride the same route  ahead of the pros.  Meanwhile local authorities are gearing up for a very busy week and are urging all residents to be careful on race and when watching the race do not obstruct the route and keep close watch of your children.  Also, if you’re planning to travel to Gunnison do so well before the race starts and a few hours after it passes through Montrose.
