GJ Regal Cinemas To Start Bag Searches

The effects from the fallout of the Aurora massacre have now hit the western slope.  The Regal cinema theatres in  Grand Junction will now start mandatory bag searches.  Moviegoers will be asked to open their bags and they will be inspected by theater employees.  One of the managers of the Regal Cinemas said questions should be directed toward corporate headquarters.  Russ Nunn, a spokesman for Regal Entertainment Group said that other security measures are possible but did not elaborate because of security reasons.  As far as one movie goer was concerned this searching people’s belongings is a flawed method as he points out that the gunman in Aurora was already inside the theater step out and then came back armed.
