GJ Bus Driver Pleads Guilty to Reduced Charges

A Grand Junction School Bus driver accused of driving while ability impaired pled guilty to reduced charges. Fifty four year old Gary Williams was arrested in April after dropping students off at Orchard Mesa Middle School. A student on the bus notified their parents that the bus driver had smelled of alcohol. Williams had 30 counts of child abuse and a DWAI charge reduced to just one count of careless driving, and he will serve one year of probation and 50 hours of community service.
