The Bureau of Land Management has made its assessment after doing its environmental study on the Lost Creek Uranium mine in Southwest Wyoming. In their assessment, they have decided to allow the project to go on as long as the mined uranium solution is dried on site. The Colorado company UR Energy uses a process called in-stu mining. It’s a chemical solution that’s injected into the underground formations to yield a uranium type solution which is then pumped to the surface through wells.
