The Grand Mesa, Uncompahgre and Gunnison National Forests are participating in this weekend’s Cabela’s Fall Great Outdoor Days, Aug 25^th and 26^th which will be in the store’s parking lot from 9 to 4.  The Forest Service will be on hand to provide forest and hunting information and there’ll be a station for kids to create a Christmas Tree Ornament that may be displayed on this year’s White House Christmas’s tree which will come from the White River National Forest in Colorado.  Colorado children who submit their ornaments will be eligible to enter a drawing to win a trip to Washington. The child who wins will be invited to light the tree with House Speaker John Boehner at a ceremony in early December.
