Fed. Land Managers Asking For Reversal on Gas Wells
Aug 24th @ 5:31 pm in News by Scott Staley
Federal land managers are asking a judge to reverse their approvals for about 400 gas wells in Garfield County. BLM wants the drilling plans for these gas wells to go back for further environmental study. According to a Glenwood Springs newspaper, the agency wants a federal judge to rule on 3 separate drilling plans that were submitted by Antero Resources, WPX in Spruce Creek, and Laramie Energy II. Between the three of them 400 gas wells are expected to be drilled and the land managers are asking BLM and a Federal judge to reconsider until further analysis is done.
