As far as the car dealers throughout the state are concerned there is economic improvement on the horizon.  Dealers have reported vehicle sales up more than a third over July of last year.  Colorado Car Dealer Assoc. sees this as a promising sign that consumers are starting to have some confidence in the country’s economy.  Many are coming into dealerships replacing their older models with more fuel efficient newer vehicles.  In Colorado, nearly 86 thousand new vehicles were registered the first half of the year compared to 71 thousand for the same period last year.  That’s an increase of 20 per cent.
