For most children early education is a crucial step in their learning process.  To make that more of a possibility for all families a preschool program called Backpack Box Program has been developed to which many parents in Delta County are taking advantage of.  The entire program is free and gives parents an opportunity to home-school their kids and to supplement the child’s current pre school program.  KREX News say that the Delta preschool program is having its 20^th anniversary on Oct 27^th and plan on celebrating with a 5k run/walk.  Since the program is free this event will try to raise money for the program.  Registration is$5 a person or $10 for the family.  The race will start at 8am that day.  Delta Family Center is also holding an open house from 10a to 1pm on the 27^th at 822 Grand Ave.
