The City has offered a large amount of funding to the Telluride/Montrose Regional Airport Organization. At a special meeting last night the city offered $270,000 to TMRAO to bring more travelers into Montrose. The organization will be trying to bring a new low cost carrier with regular flights into Montrose. If that doesn’t happen, the city will only be required to pay $50,000 to TMRAO rather than the full amount.
