A homeless man outside of a Grand Junction Wal-Mart caused the store to lock down after a patron overheard him mumbling threats on Sunday. According to the Grand Junction Police Department, a homeless man passing through the area, who has a mental illness, was mumbling generalized threats in the parking lot. A concerned customer called police, who told Wal-Mart to lock down and they apprehended the man. He was detained without incident and didn’t have any weapons. The man apologized for scaring people, and since no crime was committed, he was released.
