The controversy surrounding the new cage-free egg-laying operations in Delta County continues to swirl around and as a result a public meeting was held last night so both sides can air out their views.  A lawyer representing one of the egg-laying operations argued that all conditions have been met during the application and development process and that the county staff has the opportunity to monitor and enforce those conditions.  An opposition group provide a number of witnesses who had complained about pollution and a number of health ailments.  The county commissioners listened to both sides and said they would make their decision concerning the development applications in a few weeks.
