Plague Victim Recovering

A Colorado girl who contracted the Plague at a campsite near Pagosa Springs is recovering. Seven year old Sierra Downing, of Pagosa Springs, was taken to a hospital in Denver toward the end of last month. This case of the Bubonic Plague is the first in Colorado since 2006, and there are only seven reported cases annually. Downing has been moved out of intensive care and is in good condition recovering at the hospital.
