Both the cities of Delta and Montrose may soon be up to speed ..literally as far as the internet is concerned.  Eagle Net Alliance, a front range group received a $100 million federal grant to install quality broadband connections to education facilities, libraries, and government and health care offices.  In Montrose, work is currently being done with the installation of high speed fiber-opic cable on Woodgate Road near the newly installed roundabout.  The city of Delta eagerly welcomes the new technology because faster download speeds could attract new businesses to the area.  Two entities in Montrose that may consider using Eagle Net’s services in the future include Montrose School District which already has adequate high speed internet and the Montrose Regional Library district which also has high speed internet but is looking to upgrade its service  to its facilities in the West End.
