Signs of Snow Lead To Thoughts of Skiing

The first signs of ski season were evident up on Eisenhower Tunnel yesterday when traces of snow was found on the grass areas.  The roads were relatively clear but the fact that snow is starting to fly and evenings have become significantly cooler have some ski resorts getting geared up for the season.  Specifically, Loveland and Arapahoe Basin, who have a race to see who opens first each year.  Even Copper Mountain sent a couple officials to measure the top of their mountain and they reported back a 3 inch base.  Not enough to get going  but many ski resorts are  getting their snowmaking machines ready.  Arapahoe Basin says they will start once temperatures remain consistently low.
