Chimney Rock in Southwestern Colorado is expected to become a national monument.  Pres. Obama will likely sign a proclamation preserving the area which holds spiritual significance to tribe members in that area.  Some dignitaries were there  today attending a celebration at Chimney Rock.  They included Sen. Michael Bennet, Sec. of Interior Ken Salazar and Agriculture Secretary Tom Vilsack.  The move to sign the proclamation has bipartisan support and is a timely signing considering Obama is in a tight race with Republican Candidate Mitt Romney in Colorado which is considered a crucial state for both parties.
