Next week there will be a public open house to explain the city’s budget for 2013. This proposed budget hadbeen prepared and presented to the City Council last week. In essence the proposed budget suggests drastic reduction in operating expenses that totals more than ¾ million dollars. That means reductions in city staff, work reassignments, and early exit incentives. During the open house next week the public will have a chance to ask questions about the budget and the budgeting process. The open house will be on Tue. Oct. 2nd at 5pm at the City Council Chambers on Cascade and South First St.
