GJPD Looking for Suspect in Shooting

Police in Grand Junction are on the lookout for a stolen vehicle after a late night shooting that injured one. Police were alerted to a shooting at the Racquet Club Apartments on Orchard Avenue late last night. One man was taken to Saint Mary’s, but the extent of his injuries has not been confirmed; a witness said the man suffered a chest wound. Police are looking for a 1997 dark-colored Honda Accord that was stolen from the scene with Colorado plates 091–YAM. Three shots were fired, according to witnesses and police are looking for a suspect. They have described the suspect as a heavyset, bald Hispanic male about 5’8″ tall with tattoos on his neck and arm. Witnesses also told police that the man’s name was Oscar. Police have also received a report of another shooting in Clifton, but it is unknown if the incidents are related.
