The IRS is reminding all Coloradoans that those who requested an extension have until Oct. 15th to double check their returns and then file them using the IRS e-file or the Free File system. According to the agency there are over 11 million taxpayers nationwide who have filed for extensions and have yet to file. Some exclusions include those in the military and others serving in Irag, Afghanistan or other combat zones. Those affected by natural disasters like Hurricane Isaac also have some additional time, until Jan 11, 2013 to file and pay.
