The man who was partially responsible for a lockdown at Grand Junction High School last month will have to serve a unique punishment. The man was seen legally carrying a handgun near the school just a week after classes started. Because of that, the school was locked down for safety reasons. When he was contacted by police, they found no wrongdoing and he was properly licensed. However, the Mesa County District Attorney is forcing the man to apologize to the school and take a gun safety course.
