A five year old girl was injured when she was hit by a car in Grand Junction yesterday morning. The girl was walking with two other children when she tried to cross the road. The driver swerved but didn’t miss the girl. Luckily, she only received minor injuries and was treated at the hospital. The driver was going under the speed limit at the time of the accident and will not be cited. The Colorado State Patrol reminds drivers to be very careful driving in school zones.
