As Abraham Connection, a homeless shelter for those who have fallen on hard times in Delta, is now approaching its 3rd year and is now running out of room.  For  the past couple of years the shelter has been operating out of a church basement and has now started a campaign to raise funds for a new home of their own.  The organization’s goal is to raise $280 thousand.  For now Abraham Connection continues to work out the Delta United Methodist Church basement caring for the homeless and those in need.  However, providing food and roof over people’s heads are not all they do.  According to Vice Pres. Kami Collins with Abraham Connection volunteers at the shelter also help the homeless fill out medicare and food stamp applications and even help take them to job interviews.
