The Colorado Court of Appeals has issued a ruling in the case involving Montrose Memorial Hospital. The Court found that the Hospital Board of Trustees complied with all open meetings laws and had the authority to lease the hospital. The County Commissioners released a statement expressing disappointment at the ruling. Commissioner Gary Ellis said in the statement that he is quote “not interested in further appeals” and “we need to focus on other large issues concerning the county.” This ruling puts an end to the legal battle over the lease of the hospital that lasted more than two years.
