On Fri. night Mesa County Sheriff deputies were involved in a car chase.  At about 9pm that eve one of the deputies spotted a vehicle driving erratically  and quickly followed him.  When they did a check on the license plate they discovered the vehicle had been stolen. When the officer attempted to pull the car over the driver took off leading the deputy on a chase where the driver wound up crashing the stolen car on F Road and Peace Drive hitting a parked car.  The driver did manage to escape and the incident is on going.
