Yesterday a woman was sentenced to 24 years in prison for poisoning her husband.  Deone Marie Graham was given the maximum sentence when the jury handed down the guilty verdict.  Back in August the woman pleaded guilty to solicitation to commit first degree murder by forcing her husband to drink a controlled substance by tricking him.  According to Graham’s arrest affidavit she attempted to make her husband’s death appear to be a suicide.  The affidavit went on to state that she put morphine, eye drops and crushed pills in her husband’s drink causing blindness and resulted in him being sick for three days.  According to the defense she had ordered her husband to leave their house back in Aug. when she suspected he was cheating on her.
