Bicycles and cars having always had a running battle on the road.  County Commissioners in San Miguel County are addressing that issue by asking CDOT to install “Share The Road” signs on Hwy 145 in San Miguel Canyon  between Telluride and Lizard Head Pass.  According to the Daily Planet, Comm. Art Goodtimes came up with this idea when he was traveling between Placerville and Norwood and noticed the driver of a pick up rudely honking at a cyclist.  Goodtimes pointed out that since this summer’s Pro Cycling Challenge there has been an increase in bicycle riders in the state.
