The 73-foot Engelmann Spruce Christmas tree that’s going to Washington, D.C., has begun its 24-day journey from the White River National Forest in Colorado. The tree’s journey began Friday and will arrive in the nation’s capitol on November 26th. Thursday you will be able to see the Christmas tree in Montrose from 4 to 6 pm at Main and Cascade. Friday stops will include Cortez and Durango. The tree will be decorated with 5,000 ornaments made by Colorado school children.
