In case you haven’t heard, President Obama gets 4 more years. Here in Colorado, Scott Tipton wins the District 3 Congress vote. Your State Representatives in District 54 is Jared Wright, District 55 Ray Scott, District 58 Don Coram and in District 59 Mike McLachlan. In Montrose County, District 1 the County Commissioner race was won by Ron Henderson with 53% of the vote over Juli Messenger. District 3 David White won with 52%. Delta County saw Debra Irvine get 55% for the State Representative District 61 seat. In the District 3 County Commissioner race, J-Mark Roeber easily won with 72%. Ouray County’s District 1 County Commissioner’s race was won by Lynn Padgett with 52% and in the District 3 County Commissioners race, Don Batchelder narrowly beat Patrick Willits. San Miguel County had 2 County Commissioner races. Elaine Fischer won the District 1 seat, while in District 3, Art Goodtimes won with 42% over Dan Chancellor. Gunnison County had a very close race for the District 61 State Representative race. Kathleen Curry defeats Millie Hamner by just 88 votes. Paula Swenson wins the District 1 County Commissioners race, while Jonathan Houck is the District 2 winner. Mesa County’s District 1 Commissioner is John Justman in a landslide and same goes for the District 3 race, won by Rose Pugliese. The State of Colorado did vote Yes for Amendment 64, allowing the legalization of Marijuana by a 53 to 46 vote.
