Amendment 64 Not So Fast

Voters in the state said YES on Amendment 64 and have decided to approve the measure.  Colorado Attorney General John Suthers  says although the state has approved  marijuana use, its still illegal under federal law.  In 2006 a similar law was rejected by voters.  This time around the bill added language that includes regulating the drug and keeping it away from children.  Backers of this amendment say the drug will be tightly controlled.  Governor Hickenlooper says “Federal law still says marijuana is an illegal drug, so don’t break out the Cheetos or Goldfish too quickly”
