Montrose School District Meeting Notes

Nov 14th @ 8:15 am in News by Scott Staley

The Montrose County School District is happy with higher test scores by students but would like to see better student performances.  The plan is to have teachers be more efficient in how they teach to try and improve standardized test scores.  Some programs are geared towards better research for kids as early as kindergarten age, on up to high school.  A report on the cost to remodel or rebuild the 42 year old Columbine Middle School was estimated at up to 5.1 million dollars if the district could get a grant that would provide 53 percent of the funding.  The board approved applying for the grant.  For more details, visit http://www.montrosepress.com/
