Gunnison County is excited to announce that we are finalists for the CivicPlus “Extreme Website Makeover 2012” contest. CivicPlus is the leading provider of government website and community engagement software, and is in its 10th edition of the contest.
This year, citizen participation and involvement will be a factor in determining the Grand Prize winners in each region, so we would like to encourage citizens to go to http://civicplus.checkboxonline.com/Digital-Citizen-Engagement-Survey.aspx to nominate our community for a chance to win a free, interactive website. This link can also be found on the Gunnison County website at http://www.GunnisonCounty.org.
A new CivicPlus website will serve as a beneficial tool for the entire community. Citizens can stay up-to-date on important news and events, learn more about local government from enhanced transparency and increase engagement.
Gunnison County has until 5 p.m. CDT on Friday, Jan. 11, to gain as much citizen feedback and support as possible. Winners will be notified by 5 p.m. CDT Monday, Jan. 21.
Grand Prize winners will receive:
• A Premium CivicPlus website with custom design, full development and three days of on-site training, for free
• The first two years of annual fees will be waived
In addition to the Grand Prize, there will be runners-up chosen across the country that will receive a $5,000 discount towards their project development fees of a Premium CivicPlus website.
Gunnison County looks forward to citizen involvement in this contest!
