GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (Feb. 4, 2013) – Rocky Mountain Orthopedic Associates (RMOA) understands that’s it’s been a long, cold winter, so they’re providing an incentive to break out from the clutches of cabin fever by sponsoring the Sweet Heart Run in Fruita this Saturday. All participants will receive a goodie bag and the Best-Dressed Couple will win a new 32 inch HD TV, courtesy of RMOA.
The event, in partnership with Family Health West, features a 5k run/walk and a 10k run through Fruita, starting and finishing at the Fruita Community Center. Participants don’t have to win the race in order to walk away with a new TV, though. They just have to be voted as the best-dressed couple there.
Dr. Jeffrey Nakano from RMOA will determine the winning couple with help from the audience – a decibel meter will measure the volume of cheering from the crowd and whoever gets the loudest cheers goes home with a new TV.
The race takes place outside the Fruita Community Center on Saturday, February 9 at 10am, with the Health Expo inside the Fruita Community Center from 9 am to 1 pm. There’s still time to register online for the race at sweetheartrun.com or call the Fruita Parks and Rec department at 970-858-0360.
Rocky Mountain Orthopedic Associates sponsors this event in partnership with Family Health West. The health fair features a variety of vendors promoting health and wellness.
