The Grand Junction VA Medical Center has received an anonymous donation of $375,000 in trust for Veterans seen at the facility. Grand Junction is one of a handful of VA Medical Centers across the nation to receive like donations.
“Based on our conversations with the Grant Foundation sending us the award, staff dedication, integrity and honesty were important factors in the decision to give us this money,” said Terry Atienza, medical center director.
The medical center is honored by this generous action, Atienza said, and will ensure every dollar is spent within the donor’s conditions. The donor routed the money through the Chicago Community Foundation’s Northern Trust Charitable Giving Program to ensure anonymity.
