Several hundred people gathered today for the groundbreaking ceremony at Colorow Care Center in Olathe, CO. The first thought of this project began back in 2005 with actual pen to paper figuring beginning in 2008. The project and expansion of the current facility is expected to cost $5-million dollars, but according to Scott Striker, will generate up to $12-million dollars in the area’s economy.
Minority owner and Nursing Health Administrator Mary Pfalzgraff was the main speaker, along with majority owner Jeff Jerebker. They both talked about the pride in building this facility in Olathe with the support of Mayor Rob Smith and the Board of County Commissioners.
The building project is expected to be complete within 14-months, but Mary thinks it could be less than that. Attendees were treated to enlarged plans of the new building along with burgers, brats, coleslaw and brownies.
