Blue Sage Center for the Arts Opening March 1
Feb 21st @ 6:56 am in News by Scott Staley
The Blue Sage Center for the Arts invites you to an Opening Reception for its second Gallery Exhibit of 2013: “Art of the Earth.” This exhibit features artwork made from natural materials and/or showcasing natural beauty. Included in this Exhibit are works made of clay, rocks & crystals, succulent plants & soil, wood, canvas & paint.
Senior geologist with the Colorado Geological Survey (CGS), Dave Noe, will be presenting a Geological Map of Orchard City, Delta County that he and Michael Zawaski created in 2012. In Dave’s poetic words:
“Landscapes inspire us. The beauty of a mountain cone. The way a curve of Adobe clay hill captures the late light of day. The bending of a green, cottonwood-dotted river valley into the distance. The silent wonder of a cliff of red sandstone forming a canyon’s rim.”
