The U.S. Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) released the latest standings for Programs of the Year Tuesday, following the conclusion of the Indoor Track and Field National Championships.  Both Western State Colorado University men’s and women’s programs are listed in the top five of the standings.

The USTFCCCA DII Programs of the Year are calculated based on the team’s finishes at the NCAA Division II Cross Country National Championships, the NCAA Division II Indoor Track and Field National Championships and the NCAA Division II Outdoor Track and Field National Championships.

After the Indoor Championships the WSCU men are ranked fifth and the WSCU women are ranked fourth.

The Mountaineer men finished sixth at the Cross Country Championships and just wrapped up the Indoor Championships with a 13th place team finish for a total of 19 points.

The Mountaineer women also have a team total of 19 points.  They finished fourth at the Cross Country Championships and 15th at the Indoor Championships.
