Montrose Memorial Hospital Wins National Award For Cleanliness 2nd Year in a Row!

Montrose, CO:  Avatar Solutions, an industry leader in healthcare quality improvement services, announced its 2012 award-winning hospital partners.  For the second year in a row, Montrose Memorial Hospital was awarded Avatar Solution’s - HCAHPS – Best Performer – Clean Composite for medium sized hospitals.

Patients who stayed at MMH were asked to respond to a questionnaire that includes the statement: “The area around my room and bathroom were “always” clean.  In the year 2012, 86% of patients from Montrose Memorial Hospital responded yes!  The Colorado average for this item is 75% and the National average is 73%.

About the Award

All hospitals that administered the HCAHPS survey for 12 consecutive months in 2011 were eligible for top performer. The bed size breakouts (Critical Access/Specialty Hospital, Medium Hospital, & Large Hospital) were determined based on statistical analysis of Avatar’s normative data.  HCAHPS scores are available at www.HospitalCompare.hhs.gov.
