Hotchkiss High School Art Teacher Jamie Roeber and her students will try again to paint a bulldog image on a local public works building May 1, from 8 a.m. – 4 p.m. until the close of school (weather permitting). The first attempt to paint was wiped out by bad weather.
Roeber is completing her Arch Coal Innovative Teaching Grants project named Community Optical Boost. Her grant means to help high school students develop more pride in their community while simultaneously improving their artistic abilities and increasing teambuilding. The Arch grant has provided airbrushing kits, paint and other necessary supplies.
