E-Waste Recyclers of Colorado along with the Towns of Hotchkiss and Delta have teamed up to invite the community to recycle responsibly and help keep harmful e-waste out of the landfill.
Colorado has passed the “Electronic Recycling Jobs Act” in 2012. Beginning this July 1st, it will be illegal for consumers and home business operators in CO to dispose of e-waste. Residents, businesses, industries, government agencies, institutions, and schools can add local jobs by recycling all e-waste. All counties in the state are encouraged to host regular e-cycling drives for area residents and businesses. E-Waste Recyclers of Colorado is the only certified responsible e-waste recycler on the Western Slope of Colorado.
Your next e-waste recycle drive is:
Saturday April 27, 2013 from 10:00am-2:00pm in Delta at Aaron’s parking lot at 300 Stafford Lane (across from Wal-Mart) in Hotchkiss at the County Fairgrounds
“The event is open to the public, convenient, and a great way for the community to work together to protect private data and the environment. All while adding local jobs.” Steve Attarian, E-Waste Recyclers of Colorado.
Most items that have a cord or that run on batteries can be responsibly recycled at the event. Fees do apply to TVs, monitors, laser printers and photo copiers.
