A small portion of South First Street in Montrose will be cordoned off for Police training through noon on Wednesday. Montrose Police Commander Gene Lillard says the city Police Department will spearhead interagency training exercises at the Police Department and at Montrose City Hall. Motorists will be detoured around that section of First Street and City Hall will be closed to the public during the training exercises.
Lillard says the Montrose Police Department conducts various tactical training exercises throughout the year. Today’s training will also involve the Sheriff’s Department, Fire Departments, and EMS personnel.
