Chris Adams and Kirk Hartman have been selected to fill two vacancies on the Montrose Downtown Development Authority Board. Outgoing DDA Board member Robert Brown was recognized by the City Council on Monday for his years of service with the DDA Board and the Council may formally recognize Brown with a City Resolution during their next meeting.
The city’s Downtown Development Authority is directed by a 7-member Board. The DDA has the authority to purchase and redevelop property, enact capital improvements, and administrate other programs for economic development.
The board is comprised of downtown property owners, business owners and residents. A City Council Member is also appointed to the DDA Board to serve as a liaison between the two governing bodies. Councilor Carol McDermott serves as the current liaison.
